Candle Care
Help your candle burn cleaner, longer, and more beautifully.
1. Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch. This helps prevent soot, uneven burning, and mushrooming.
2. First Burn = Most Important
Let the wax melt all the way to the edges on the first burn (usually 2–4 hours). This sets the “memory ring” and prevents tunneling.
3. Don’t Burn for Too Long
Limit each burn session to no more than 4 hours. This helps maintain a clean, even melt and prevents overheating the wax.
4. Keep the Wax Clean
Remove any debris (like wick trimmings or matches) from the wax pool to avoid smoke and an uneven burn.
5. Burn on a Stable Surface
Always place your candle on a heat-safe, flat surface, away from drafts, curtains, or pets.
6. Store Properly
Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve scent and wax color.
7. Stop Burning at ½ Inch
Discontinue use when about ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom. This prevents the container from overheating or breaking.
